Booking FAQs

Do I need an account to use Barnetts Couriers?

No, you do not need an account to use our services.

 How do I make a booking?

Call us on 131 453 to make a booking. If you hold an account with us, you are also able to use our online booking system. Contact our  Accounts Team on (02) 4224 4299 for your online details.

 What information do I need to book a collection?

We need the phone numbers for both the collection and delivery points, the address and if collection/delivery is for a business, the business   name. We also require the total combined weight of your shipment and all three dimensions for each item once packaged/palletised. Also, if you hold an account with us, the Account/Customer Code or the linked phone number.

Why do I need to provide phone numbers?

We need to be able to contact the Sender/Receiver directly if there are any issues such as: problems locating the address, nobody on site to accept the delivery etc. Often, a quick phone call directly to the contact person, can solve any problems that may arise, immediately.

Payment / Account FAQs

I don’t have an account, how do I pay?

We accept Credit Card payments (Visa/Mastercard) over the phone & Direct Deposit/Bank Transfer in to our Account. If your Job is urgent, we recommend paying by Credit Card to avoid any delays, as funds must be received before we proceed with your booking.

I have an account, how do I receive invoices & pay?

Your invoices will be emailed to you in our fortnightly Statement run. You can pay via Credit Card (Visa/Mastercard) over the phone or by Direct Deposit/Bank Transfer in to our Account. You can also open your account, on a pay as you go basis.

Do you have a surcharge for Credit Card payments?

No, we do not pass on any additional charges to you.

Collection & Delivery FAQs

When will my freight be collected & delivered?

This all depends on the collection & delivery areas. The majority of our services are overnight however, we may only service certain areas on particular days & all services are subject to vehicle availability. Please confirm your ETA with our Team at the time of booking.

Can I track my Job?

Yes, you can accurately track your booking by entering your Job/Booking number in to our Track Job screen.

Can the Driver call me before picking up or delivering my Job?

Yes, the Driver is able to contact you on the day of Collection/Delivery.


Do you Transport…?

Do you carry Furniture?

Yes, we carry furniture if it’s flat-packed. We do not carry any other household goods such as mattresses, lounges or tables.

Do you carry Whitegoods?

Yes, we carry Whitegoods, providing that they are in their original manufacturers packaging.

Do you carry Live Freight?

Yes, however this service is subject to strict conditions. Please contact our Team for more information.

Is my freight Insured?

We are not common carriers and as such, all freight is carried at your own risk, unless insured.

Do you offer Insurance?

Yes, we offer Insurance for an additional cost, subject to certain Terms & Conditions being met. Please contact our Team for more information.

Do you package freight?

We do not offer a packaging service, all freight must be packaged before we collect your Consignment.
